Why Tulamben
The USAT Liberty Shipwreck is the centerpiece of diving in Tulamben. This World War II-era cargo ship was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in 1942 and now rests on its side just a few meters from the shore. The wreck is covered in vibrant coral growth and teeming with marine life, making it a popular spot for underwater photography and exploration.
